"A Long Strange Trip" was written by their publicist and
is very thorough and more journalistic than "Living with the
Dead", which was written by their first manager and has more
details about the early days. In both cases, they may be disillusioning towards your perceptions of Jerry Garcia, if you are not familiar with his bouts with drug addiction. Otherwise they are both good reads. |
